Welcome to the Carl Sagan community on Dreamwidth.

Let me introduce myself. I'm nebulosity, and I'm currently the only moderator. There are only two rules for the community right now, and that is that posts must be either related to Carl Sagan or issues he talked or wrote about, and that discussion about those issues must be respectful.

I promoted our community on dw_community_promo today, hoping that we could gather some new members.

+ If you would like to join or subscribe, an introduction/personal story entry is highly encouraged. Tell us about yourself and how you came to know Carl Sagan, as well as how his work has impacted your life.

To get things started, here is a list of topics that I'd love to see posted here in the community:

+ Thoughts on Carl Sagan's books, interviews, TV Series Cosmos, or his life.

+ Thoughts on issues that Carl Sagan was passionate about: SETI, extraterrestrials, life on other planets, evolution, religion/history/philosphy and its impact on the pursuit of science, physics, science education outreach in the community (volunteer work, charity), science theory, etc.

+ Photographs, icons, scans, links, articles, videos and audio are welcome.

+ Promotions for Carl Sagan websites

+ And lots more!

Cuts for content are highly recommended if:

+ You're posting large images, more than one small image or more than one video

+ Your entry contains a large amount of text.

Other recommendations:

+ Please use tags! There currently are no tags, so use your imagination. Tag suggestions include: personal story, biography, pictures, icons, video, articles, religion, history, philosophy, physics, etc.
